Welcome to this article. Today we'll be talking about sleep. In the modern world, sleeping is hard. Let's be honest. It's such a waste of time ! There are so many other things you could do. Netflix, sport, going to a restaurant, or even better, partying all night. But sleep is crucial. We found this video that tells you what happens when you don't sleep ; it's terrifying.

  1. Have fresh sheets.

In a recent Bedroom Poll by the National Sleep Foundation, more than three fourths of people said they are more excited to go to bed when the sheets have a fresh scent, and roughly three quarters of people say they get a more comfortable night’s sleep on new sheets.


Try to wash your sheets and pillowcases once a week, and keep a good spare set to use while the they are being cleaned. Find a laundry detergent with a smell that is pleasing to you, or no smell at all if you prefer that. Keeping your sleep surfaces clean, with a pleasing scent, makes the bedroom more inviting and helps your body relax.


 

2. Have a hot bath.

A dip in body temperature can help get you off to sleep. Taking a warm bath just before bed can help this. It's not the rise in body temperature, but the subsequent cooling down that tricks the body into thinking you have gone from daytime into night-time.


 

3. Paint your bedroom blue.

Blue is proven to have a relaxing effect on the mind. Painting your one of your walls deep blue or having blue sheets can really help you drift off.
