The Council of State validates the temporary return of neonicotinoids, these insecticides "bee killers"

These insecticides had been temporarily re-authorized to deal with crop failure following the invasion of an aphid vector of jaundice.

Insecticides "bee killers" will be able to continue their return in some farms. The Council of State validated, Monday, March 15, the provisional reauthorization of neonicotinoids in the sugar beet industry, considering that it was not contrary to the Constitution or to European law, which provides for exemptions from their general ban.

The highest administrative court thus rejects the appeal of several NGOs which urgently demanded the prohibition of the return of these insecticides "bee killers", temporarily re-authorized to deal with the drop in crops after the invasion of a vector aphid jaundice.

The jaundice?

Jaundice is a disease that causes the skin of newborns to turn yellowish due to a high production of bilirubin or the liver's difficulty in getting rid of it quickly. Bilirubin is a yellow-brown substance produced after red blood cells break down.
