Ever since the 11th February, blue dogs have become a media sensation. The pictures were taken in Russia, by curious walkers. But is it simply a trick? The medias and photograph specialists assure us that no, the images are one hundred percent accurate and honest. So where do these dogs come from? And more importantly, why are they blue?

The images were taken in Russia, near a factory, Orgsteklo, in a town called Dzerzhinsk. This town is nicknamed "The Chemist's Town". This factory (which closed six years ago) used to make plexiglas, chemical weapons, and hydrocyanic acid. BFM.ru, a Russian media, says "It was the largest chemical center in the Soviet Union."
"The dogs probably found residue from old chemicals, including copper sulfate, and rolled around in it." says says company liquidator Andrey Mislivets, while refuting the authenticity of the footage he calls a hoax.
